Support a knitting group worldwide
Sounds wooly, but it works: in India and Pakistan, Hindu and Muslim needles click in accord. In Rwanda, Hutus and Tutsis are stitching their differences together. All because we provide women from formerly hostile communities common cause: organising knitting and sewing businesses. We encourage attendance by paying welcome income for their welcome output: warm clothes for babies, children, elderly people orphans and streetdwellers.
Take action and help knit fractured communities together again, via the Good Gifts Catalogue:

If you would like to donate by post, please make cheques payable to Charities Advisory Trust (Knit for Peace is an initiative of the Charities Advisory Trust) and sent to the address below.
Donate knitted items, knitting materials and books
If you are an individual or group looking to give knitted items to a good cause then have a look at our Projects and Patterns page where you’ll find details of who needs what knitted items as well as patterns for those items.
Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter to keep up to date with the projects we are currently supporting!
Have you got any spare needles, yarn or other knitting related paraphernalia? We are always on the look out for these as we can then use them in our work with marginalised sections of society, for example in women’s prisons.
