Knit for Peace Retreat – Mysore, India
Dates: 22nd January to 4th February 2027
Venue: The Green Hotel, Mysore
Organiser: Knit for Peace, an initiative of The Charities Advisory Trust
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Places are limited (maximum 16 participants) and will be allocated by ballot.
1.2 A non‑refundable deposit of £250 per person is required to secure a place.
1.3 The balance of the retreat fee is due no later than 1st November 2026.
1.4 Payments should be made by bank transfer or card via instructions provided by Knit for Peace.
1.5 Knit for Peace reserves the right to cancel bookings if payment deadlines are not met.
2. What Is Included
The retreat fee includes:
Accommodation at The Green Hotel as per the published price list
Full board meals at the hotel (including a packed lunch for days out)
Seven morning knitting and crochet workshops led by Jane Crowfoot
Refreshments served during the workshops
Administrative support from Knit for Peace staff
3. What Is Not Included
The retreat fee does not include:
International or domestic flights
Travel insurance (mandatory – see Section 6)
Visas and passport costs
Airport transfers unless explicitly stated
Personal spending, drinks, laundry, tips, or optional excursions
Materials and yarn unless specifically listed in workshop details
4. Cancellations by Participants
4.1 All cancellations must be made in writing.
4.2 The deposit is non‑refundable.
4.3 If cancellation occurs:
Before 1st November 2026 - refund of payments made minus deposit
After 1st November 2026 - no refund unless your place can be filled from the waiting list
4.4 Participants are responsible for any costs not recoverable by Knit for Peace from suppliers.
5. Cancellation or Changes by Knit for Peace
5.1 Knit for Peace reserves the right to cancel the retreat if minimum numbers are not reached, or due to circumstances beyond our control (including travel restrictions, safety concerns, or illness of workshop leaders).
5.2 In such cases, all payments received will be refunded in full, but Knit for Peace cannot be responsible for personal expenses such as flights or insurance premiums.
5.3 Knit for Peace reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the programme, accommodation, or workshop schedule if necessary.
6. Travel Insurance
6.1 Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must cover medical expenses, cancellation, and personal belongings.
6.2 Participants must provide evidence of insurance before departure.
6.3 Knit for Peace cannot accept liability for loss, illness, or injury.
7. Health, Mobility, and Safety
7.1 Participants must ensure they are fit to travel and able to participate in the retreat activities.
7.2 Any medical conditions, dietary needs, or mobility requirements must be disclosed in advance.
7.3 Participants are responsible for obtaining required vaccinations or medical advice for travel to India.
8. Behaviour and Respect
8.1 Knit for Peace holidays are friendly and inclusive. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow guests, hotel staff, and local communities.
8.2 Knit for Peace reserves the right to remove a participant whose behaviour is disruptive or unsafe, without refund.
9. Photography and Publicity
9.1 Knit for Peace may take photographs during the retreat for newsletters, websites, and social media.
9.2 Participants who prefer not to appear in photographs should notify organisers in advance.
10. Liability
10.1 Knit for Peace acts only as organiser and is not liable for loss, injury, delay, or inconvenience caused by third‑party providers.
10.2 Participation is at the individual’s own risk.
11. Data Protection
Personal information will be used only for retreat administration and kept in accordance with UK data protection law.
12. Acceptance of Terms
Payment of a deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
